No other crypto has gone through the same growing trials as BTC – when I see another crypto outpace BTC in evolution and development prospects I will believe it will take over.

I feel like will happen is that new concepts are being tried by alts all the time, make short term gains and eventually if that concept is worth having it will be rolled into the BTC stack. The combination of the name plus the open source nature of cryptos means that there will need to be a BIG shift in how this works for another system to become the dominant one.

The technology is here to stay, for sure. But we are still in the “figuring it out” stage, so nobody really knows which technology will ultimately survive.

I believe that the overall trading/investment market will be like the dot com situation in 2000. So there will be major hype and then the market will crash for a period of time. Since this market is available worldwide, it will probably be a bigger run up and crash than we saw with tech stocks because more people will be involved. Look at the stock charts for companies like Microsoft and Oracle, to get an idea of what we are probably in for in cryptocurrencies.

Once we get a clearer picture of which technologies will survive and the volatility dies down, trading cryptocurrencies will probably be just like trading the fiat Forex markets. After all, they are just another type of currency.

Actually the Litecoin founder sold all his coins. Stay safe out there.

I really enjoy your site. Like many I’m new to cryto and would like to know what you think the future of crypto is. Do you think its possible that the whole market crashes? I try to invest long term but sometimes I wonder if I will just beholding something that is worthless. I know it worked for bitcoin but I saw an article where the founder sold all his coins. Basically I’m asking if you have serious faith in the future of crypto or is it just a way to make some money for the time being. Thanks and keep up the good work.
