{"id":6191,"date":"2012-09-04T22:18:36","date_gmt":"2012-09-05T08:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/?p=6191"},"modified":"2024-04-17T16:50:20","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T23:50:20","slug":"are-you-trading-the-swag-forex-trading-system-here-is-how-to-tell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/are-you-trading-the-swag-forex-trading-system-here-is-how-to-tell\/","title":{"rendered":"What You Need to Know About the SWAG Trading System?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What is the SWAG Forex Trading System?\u00a0 You should know it because it is famous.\u00a0 You have probably even traded it before.\u00a0 It is very easy to trade and the profit potential is huge&#8230;in theory, at least.<\/p>\n<p>Before you get too excited about this trading method, let's find out what SWAG stands for.\u00a0 During my real estate investing days, I learned this term from Ron LeGrand.\u00a0 It really stuck out in my mind as the way a lot of people go about trading.<\/p>\n<h2>It stands for&#8230;<\/h2>\n<h3>Scientific&#8230;<\/h3>\n<h3>Wild&#8230;<\/h3>\n<h3>Ass&#8230;<\/h3>\n<h3>Guess.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3362\/3205277810_8283a3e4b5.jpg\" alt=\"Thinking RFID\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ahhh, now you know what I'm talking about.\u00a0 Almost all traders know what happens when we first start out.\u00a0 We read a few trading books and feel like we know everything.\u00a0 Then we start making dumbass trades based on half of an idea that we learned.\u00a0 Some people blow out accounts, others just lose a little money and quit.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case, the result is the same&#8230;inconsistent results and losing money.\u00a0 But how different is that from how you are trading now?<\/p>\n<h2>How to tell if you are SWAG trading<\/h2>\n<p>If your trading doesn't have the following elements, you are probably trading the SWAG method.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stop losses<\/li>\n<li>Backtesting all of the strategies you trade (don't take it from me, hear what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/category\/podcast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">these pro traders<\/a> have to say about backtesting)<\/li>\n<li>Exact entry and exit parameters<\/li>\n<li>Good money management, only risking a small % on each trade<\/li>\n<li>A logging system to figure out what you are doing wrong (and right)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are you trading SWAG?\u00a0 If so, what are you going to do to STOP trading it?<\/p>\n<p>If you are trading well, is there something that I missed in the SWAG method?\u00a0 If you can think of other bad habits that lead to poor trading, add it to the list by commenting below.<\/p>\n<p>Hope you are trading well!<\/p>\n<p>###<\/p>\n<p>Photo: <a id=\"yui_3_5_1_3_1346847081186_1355\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jakecaptive\/\">@boetter<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is the most dangerous trading strategy in the world.
