{"id":7366,"date":"2013-11-12T16:53:44","date_gmt":"2013-11-13T00:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/?p=7366"},"modified":"2025-08-12T16:09:02","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T23:09:02","slug":"the-top-5-most-useful-android-apps-for-forex-trading","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/the-top-5-most-useful-android-apps-for-forex-trading\/","title":{"rendered":"5 Most Useful Android Apps For Forex Trading"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last month, I shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/the-top-5-most-useful-iphone-apps-for-forex-traders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my favorite iOS Forex trading apps<\/a>.\u00a0 Today, I'm going to share my picks for the top Android Forex trading apps.<\/p>\n<p>Since I don't actually own any Android devices, this list is based on research or using the iOS version.\u00a0 But if you are an Android fan and a Forex trader, then this list is for you.<\/p>\n<h2>5.\u00a0 Bloomberg<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3675\/10935925994_a9156c91e1_o.jpg\" alt=\"bloomberg-screenshot\" width=\"600\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg is one of my favorite news sources and I like their mobile app.\u00a0 In addition to worldwide news, you can easily see the performance of various worldwide markets, just by looking at their &#8220;Markets&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n<h2>4.\u00a0 Kindle Reader<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"kindle-google-1 by TradingHeroes, on Flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.amazon.kindle\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7436\/10936598753_7213817f6e_o.jpg\" alt=\"kindle-google-1\" width=\"600\" height=\"253\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I love Kindle books because they take up no physical space and I can take my library with me anywhere I go.\u00a0 The <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.amazon.kindle&hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kindle reader<\/a> app should be a staple for you if you use Android.\u00a0 Easily access your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/recommended\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"298\">trading books<\/a> when you are on the train or waiting for a doctor's appointment.\u00a0 The application is well built and is highly rated.<\/p>\n<p>For some people, it might take a little getting used to, if you usually read physical books.\u00a0 I'm at the age where most of my friends prefer reading paper books, so I understand if you feel the same way right now.\u00a0 All that I suggest is that you give it a chance.<\/p>\n<p>You might be surprised and you will be able to clear out a lot of space by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/how-to-sell-donate-or-recycle-your-old-books\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">getting rid of your paper books<\/a> and converting to electronic versions.\u00a0 And you save some trees by not buying the paper version in the future. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h2>3.\u00a0 Evernote<\/h2>\n<p>When it comes to keeping notes, there isn't anything better than <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.evernote&hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evernote<\/a>.\u00a0 Access your trading notes, your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/how-to-journal-your-forex-trades-with-evernote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trade journa<\/a>l or your shopping list. It is amazing how simple and powerful the concept behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingheroes.com\/tool\/evernote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evernote<\/a> is.\u00a0 Here a video of the Android app in action.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ag_IGEgAa9M?rel=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>2.\u00a0 Oanda fxTrade<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.oanda.fxtrade&hl=en\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7449\/10936073494_26ccb37319_o.jpg\" alt=\"fxtrade-reviews\" width=\"358\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nYes, my favorite broker has an app that is also available on <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.oanda.fxtrade&hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Android<\/a>.\u00a0 As you can see from the ratings above, it is a good app.\u00a0 I noticed that there were some requests to be able to calculate profit and loss on the order entry screen, like with the java version.<\/p>\n<p>Something that I totally agree with.\u00a0 Otherwise, it is a solid app and has been working well.<\/p>\n<h2>1.\u00a0 TradeInterceptor<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5477\/10935857754_c3edc9b94b_o.jpg\" alt=\"trade-interceptor-google\" width=\"600\" height=\"222\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Of course, since <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.riflexo.tradeinterceptormobile&hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TradeInterceptor<\/a> is my favorite app on iOS, it will also be my favorite app on Android.\u00a0 In my opinion, it is light years ahead of other charting platforms like Metatrader and a lot of the broker apps.\u00a0 I wish that there was a way to add indicators and do custom trading signals, but otherwise, it is excellent.\u00a0 Hopefully, they will come up with something soon, but it is more difficult with a mobile app.<\/p>\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p>Next time, I share my favorite Windows Phone and Blackberry Forex trading apps.\u00a0 NOT!\u00a0 Who uses that crap anyway?<\/p>\n<p>Seriously, just like in trading, use whatever technology works for you.\u00a0 If you read my last post on iOS apps, you will see that the apps that I like are exactly the same for iOS and Android.\u00a0 I think that this is really a testament to how good both of these platforms are.\u00a0 I really wanted to find Android apps that were different, but I didn't see any reason to go beyond these.<\/p>\n<p>As an interesting side note, TradeInterceptor is available on Blackberry, but not on Windows Phone.\u00a0 The same thing goes for the Oanda app.\u00a0 The other apps have versions for all 4 platforms.\u00a0 This may be a consideration for you, if you are considering getting a Windows Phone.<\/p>\n<p>But if you have any other Android apps that you like, please share them in the comments below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Photo: Android (Flickr &#8211; rbulmahn)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you have an Android device, this post will show you 5 of the top apps for Forex traders.
